Hi all, I am new to the forum, but I am a very happy owner of a BMW 3-series touring (2008). The car is equipped with the CCC-navigation system (I think I have the update-1, no split screen) and since a few months the controller knob is acting mysteriously: at random times, the controller stops responding to a push on the knob.
iDrive controller not working - need help with diagnosis and P/N. Hi I purchased a used 2012 x5 not too long ago. Today the iDrive controller stopped working - buttons, round knob, nothing works. The screen seems to function ok because I can use some voice commands to move the selections on the screen. The iDrive seems clean and console
I have a early 2004 e60 530i. My iDrive is a very outdated and limited iDrive system. It's the one with the smaller screen pictured below. Currently my drive system works well for what it's intended. I have no complications with any of the features. I have Bluetooth capabilities, but are limited in what it can do and I have no navigation. Holding the volume button in until the screen goes blank is a reset. To REBOOT you have to hold the volume button in for 70 seconds. The IDrive will turn off and then turn on for a bit and then turn off for a second time. When it turns off the second time, that is the reboot.
