Cambelts/ Timing belts. (Mito / Giulietta) We recommend 70k or 4/5 Years as per Alfa Romeos service schedule. Parts Used: number of reasons including poor maintenance and lack of oil changes so the best thing you can do for your JTS engined Alfa Romeo is change the engine oil as often as you can. We advise very 6000 miles.
Thebulletin announcing the changed intervals was issued by Alfa Romeo on 13/11/2006 so it's likely that your 2007 handbook preceeded this change (which applied to all Twinspark and JTS engines but excluded the V6). As you say though, if the plastic impeller only lasts 60km then that's your timing belt change interval taken care of!

Ifone waits until the guides are shot then replacing the chain would be a wise decision. Normally, timing chains in a well maintained engine need no servicing whatsoever apart from regular engine oil and filter changes. 1982 GTV6 sold in 1984. 1991 Alfa Romeo 164L 5 spd owned from new sold in 2023.
